2013 Christmas Card

Well, as you can see, I haven't been posting the cards that I have been making!  There just doesn't seem to be the time to do everything that I want to do!

Here is the card that I gave out to family, friends and co-workers last Christmas.
I love the bird - black-throated blue warbler. I was able to get that shot last spring at Pt. Pelee.  We are going again soon and I hope to get some more great bird photography done with the spring migration about to start.

This card took a while to make as I embossed each snowflake separately as well as the frame around the bird.  It was super fun and fulfilling once it was complete.
I used a nice decorative snow flake and rhinestones for embellishment.

I love the end product!  What do you think?

Cherries Anyone?

Well, it's been a great year for the birds in our yard!  The cherry trees have exploded with some many cherries that the robins, starlings, grackles, orioles, etc. just can't keep up with them.  They are starting to rot on the trees with this heat.  We've eaten some every evening ourselves!

Here are some pictures...

What to do? Birds or cards..... Cards or birds....

We went to Point Pelee National Park camping.  Though freezing cold air moved in for the weekend, we still enjoyed walking in the woods and viewing the magnificent birds coming back through on their migration.
Here are some of my pictures to get you in the spring mood. They always help me!

                                          Baltimore Oriole

                                         American Redstart

                                         Magnolia Warbler

                                         Blue-winged Warbler

                                         Red-headed Woodpecker

                                         Yellow Warbler

I hope you enjoyed looking at them as much as I enjoyed photographing them!
Now back to work!
